Philippe Pallafray’s dramatic contemporary sculptures often appear to defy the laws of gravity. This imposing minimalist piece features a highly polished stainless steel ball precariously balanced between two bright red painted cubes. ‘Equilibre’ means ‘balance’ The sculpture appears to sit in dramatic contrast to its natural environment and yet also mirrors it back to the viewer through the reflective surface of the ball.

This piece is numbered in an edition of 10 and available on commission. Please allow 3-4 weeks for completion, upon delivery.

He is a member of the Sculptors Society of Canada. Born in France, he emigrated to Canada several years ago and currently lives in Ile d’Orléans, Québec. Pallafray's sculptures have been exhibited in Canada and the United States both as part of group and solo exhibitions. They are also part of public and private collections in Canada, France, and the United States.
