The view one has looking towards the horizon line above the sea is imagined in this dream-like mixed media piece by Sharon Kelly. Inspired by her love of oceans and waterways, the Canadian artist favours abstracted form and uses expressive brush strokes in soft colours—sky blue, yellow, peach-tones, pale green and random markings in black to create this ethereal landscape of the ‘mind’.

Sharon Kelly was born in Montreal and studied art history at Queen's University in Kingston, ON. Sharon Kelly maintains a full-time studio by the Rideau River in Ottawa. Kelly has been featured in several solo and group exhibitions since 1999. Her works are held in both private and corporate collections.
