Biography

SPLACES.STUDIO is an interdisciplinary art collective that is led by a group of artists, programmers and engineers. SPLACES works at the intersection of art, science, and technology. The studio creates large-scale, immersive sculptures and installations that connect human perception with the natural environments surrounding us. SPLACES’s projects have been exhibited internationally in museums, public spaces, and festivals, often in close collaboration with scientists, engineers, and researchers.

The studio’s practice is rooted in the idea of nature-driven technologies — artistic systems inspired by the self-regulating processes of living ecosystems. Through light, sound, and data, SPLACES reinterprets natural phenomena to foster empathy, awareness, and connection. Each project is site-specific and developed with sensitivity to its local environment, social context, and community.

Since 2023 SPLACES.STUDIO has realized more than 10 large-scale installations across Europe, Asia, and North America. Each project integrates artistic expression with scientific and technological research. Studio’s works often engage with biomorphic and ecological design, drawing inspiration from natural cycles, flora, and fauna. Another aspect that is deeply rooted in the studio's philosophy is participatory and sensory interaction that allows audiences to influence light, sound, or motion. SPLACES’s core team combines expertise in artistic direction, programming, electrical engineering, sound design, and fabrication.
