About Glint

This contemporary sculptural indoor white porcelain vessel was made by Susan Collett.

This exquisite vessel was hand-built from clay by Susan Collett. Her artwork often explores the relationship between fragility and strength. This intricately detailed vessel was created by twisting, squeezing and shaping paper clay. By layering creamy white ribbons of clay, Collett adds rich texture and depth to each piece. The organic shape of these ‘towers’ is inspired by nature. The paper clay is so translucent that it allows light to filter through it. The exterior is glazed, which gives the piece an attractive sheen.

“The use of light interplay provides a perceived fragility explored through stacking and channelling of hand-built clay platelets.” Susan Collett
