This colourful indoor figurative pop art sculpture is by Viktor Mitic.

Playful, colourful and imaginative, Viktor Mitic’s series of small sculptures appears to merge pop art with science fiction. The palette—a rainbow of vivid colours-turquoise, blue, yellow, red, pink, orange and black makes this a fun, bright and contemporary collectible. These cartoon-character 3-D figures began as digital creations, sculpted out of resin and hand-painted. The form was initially inspired by the towering abstract sculptures Mitic produced from images of paint splashes on his studio floor. Signed by the artist and mounted on an aluminum base.

Viktor Mitic earned a BFA from the University of Toronto in 1995 with studies in art history at Sheridan College. He has exhibited his post-Pop inspired paintings, prints and colourful abstract sculptures at the Muramatsu Gallery in Tokyo, The Armory Show in NYC, Art Chicago and in Toronto. His work is held in corporate, private, and public collections.
