About Currents#1

For decades, Yvonne Lammerich has produced evocative contemporary artwork that has been exhibited internationally This series of colourful graphic acrylic paintings showcases her masterful sense of colour and form. Geometric shapes rendered in a combination of golden yellow, melon, purple and white form a dynamic pattern against an atmospheric background of wavy lines—‘currents.’ Each painting is bordered with triangles. Designed as a striking series.

“I was intrigued by the visual consequences of taking a whole, dividing it (in this case into 8 recognizable different parts) and then releasing these parts to make up a new identity within a field the size of its own parts.” Yvonne Lammerich
