Threshold: The Works of Ingeborg Mohr, RCA (1921-2004)

18 September 2009 — 14 October 2009

For four weeks this autumn, Oeno Gallery presents a rare opportunity to experience and acquire the works of Ingeborg Mohr RCA (1921 - 2004), described as one of Canada's greatest artists by Maria Tippett, scholar and art historian. In this exhibition, twelve of the works from Mohr's personal collection are offered for sale for the first time: eight selected works on paper from different periods, plus four canvases. Those who give Ingeborg Mohr's work the time and place they deserve are deeply rewarded with glimpses of her determined optimism. "My goal," Mohr once said, "is to find the goodness of the human condition." Opening Reception: Saturday, September 19, 3-7pm These works are being sold by silent auction.
