Celebrating the Opening of Fired Up! at Oeno Gallery

Earlier this month, Oeno Gallery celebrated the opening of Fired Up! Pushing Boundaries in Ceramics & Glass with an exceptional turnout. Nine of the ten exhibiting artists joined us in the gallery for the opening. 

Fired Up! brings together a remarkable group of contemporary ceramic and glass artists whose practices explore the expressive possibilities of fired materials. The exhibition features ceramic works by Steven Heinemann, Susan Collett, Paula Murray, Bruce Cochrane, Loren Kaplan, and Bill Greaves, alongside glass works by Cheryl Wilson Smith, John Paul Robinson, Susan Rankin, and Julia Reimer.

Drawing on the deep histories of clay and glass, from ancient pottery techniques to early Egyptian glassmaking, the artists in this exhibition continue to push the boundaries of tradition. Each has developed a distinctive visual language through experimentation, material knowledge, and an ongoing commitment to their craft.

A special selection of ceramics from Toronto collector and philanthropist Aaron Milrad is also on view, offering visitors an additional perspective on the evolution of ceramic artistry.
