Sharon Kelly's painting installed in Rideau Hall
Oeno Gallery would like to congratulate artist Sharon Kelly for the recent installation of her painting in Rideau Hall. This is a significant achievement and honour in Sharon Kelly's career! You can see the selected painting in a promotional booklet that the artist recently released.
The National Capital Commission-Residence Crown Collection has purchased the painting "The Pause Button", a 48 x 48 inches, acrylic and mixed media on canvas, to be part of a distinguished collection of women artists. The painting has been installed in the residence of the Governor General, in one of the main reception rooms.
Sharon Kelly was born in Montreal and studied Art History at Queens University, Kingston, ON. She is a self-taught artist and maintains a full-time studio in Ottawa, by the Rideau River. Known for her elegant non-figurative paintings inspired by oceans and waterways, Kelly has been featured in several solo and group exhibitions since 1999. Her works are in both private and corporate collections.
