Nationally recognized artist Marlene Hilton Moore, whose work will be featured in this year's sculpture garden exhibition at Oeno Gallery, was recently commissioned to create a statue for the Vimy memorial in France.

To mark the 100th anniversary of the Canadian triumph at Vimy Ridge, Hilton Moore produced a life-size, bronze statue of a bugler, which is identical to another sculpture at the Base Borden. The other bugler statue stands at the Borden Legacy Monument in Barrie, ON, which was dedicated by Prime Minister Trudeau at a ceremony on June 9, 2016.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who gave a public address to commemorate Hilton Moore's statue at the city hall in Arras, France.
