Artist Talk
Thursday, April 25, 2024
Yvonne's artist talk will illustrate how and why she became an artist, the influences that determined the direction of her early and later practice, and how as a woman she could develop her own voice that allowed for both intellectual and emotive enquiry, within the full spectrum of the visual language.
"As I discovered each new body of work, they became like an unfolding and opened new questions revealing at the same time other visual possibilities that I could apply in order to speak to my experience of being in the world. I think of my work not only as a record of my lived experience, but also in each instance a new possible way of understanding, feeling, contemplating and reflecting on the world and my/our place in it." -Yvonne Lammerich
