Swirling calligraphic marks and symbols swirl at the centre of a burnished warm ground in this luminous canvas by Alice Teichert. The artist works with thin layers of acrylic gel and pigment to produce a shimmering jewel-like surface interspersed with gestural and musical notations which she refers to as visual poetry.
