About Haptic Series Vase White & Blue

Inspired by the colour, texture and forms found in nature, Bill Greaves creates uniquely handsome contemporary ceramics. The former architect loves the tactile quality of clay and the almost endless possibilities that working with this ancient material possesses. This piece appears to resemble the form and textured bark of a tree trunk. The colour palette is a rich golden brown highlighted with deep blue and white.

Originally trained as an architect at Yale University, Bill studied ceramics at Alex Yeung Studio in Toronto from 2017-2019 before setting up his studio near Consecon, Ontario, in 2020.
