About Radiant

This modern geometric painting by Burton Kramer was inspired by music.

Lauded as a pioneer of Canadian graphic design, the lyrical paintings of Burton Kramer have been recognized worldwide. A modernist whose preferred form is often geometric, his palette of choice is a kaleidoscope of vivid color. This painting literally radiates the power of color to convey an inspired narrative. Bars of indigo blue, orange, and canary yellow beat in unison against a bright green backdrop that flows like piano keys across the canvas. The visual movement is palpable.

“My paintings do not abstract the experience of reality as we know it. They provide the viewer with an alternate reality, just as music often does.” Burton Kramer

“Kramer’s work can best be described as a collection with active, visual powers that enchants the viewer through geometric shapes, and these are just coming from the mighty hands of a modernist designer and artist.”
