About Sandbar Trilogy

Sandbar Trilogy is a brilliantly colourful pop art painting, an ode to the popular beach scene in Miami, Florida. Three panels of male figures dressed in bathing suits are seen lounging, sitting and standing. The painting style—graphic, semi-abstract and hard-edged is accentuated by a vivid colour palette of turquoise and red bordered by deep blue. In the 1990s Pachter spent several months painting in a studio in South Miami Beach. Often referred to as Canada’s Warhol, Pachter is renowned as a multi-talented award-winning artist whose resume includes painting, printmaking, sculpting, designing and writing.

“Charles Pachter is the most Canadian artist this country has ever produced…and no one else can do what he does.” Leonard Wise, Author and Art Critic
