About Tumsae No 1

The natural world provides infinite inspiration for the beautifully textured work of Chung-Im Kim. The fabric artist creates unique wall hangings from sewing tiny pieces of industrial felt together, pulled taut to add tension in the design and a 3D effect.

This piece in creamy white is highlighted by organic shapes in a deep red that provide dramatic contrast. The first in a series.

"For me, patterns are hard to ignore as I encounter everyday life….and working with patterns always gives me the thrill of entering a new world.” Chung-Im Kim
