About Hollow Mountain 1/30

Two striking triangles in bright apple green steel; their center cut-out triangles stand beside one another in this new tabletop sculpture by Canadian artist Fraser Radford. The simple shapes of this piece were inspired by nature.Radford works in multiple disciplines including film, photography, paint and sculpture. Radford’s work has appeared in numerous magazines in Canada and the U.S. He also apprenticed under one of Canada’s most prominent sculptors, Shayne Dark. This is one of thirty editions.

“The idea for 'Hollow Mountain' formed out of the ashes of another series I was drawing up at the time. I drew a triangle on a piece of graph paper, then out of curiosity, erased a small section, and bingo! A new idea was born! Two shapes, balanced together by the void in between them.” Fraser Radford

He has an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Queen’s University, a Fine Arts diploma from St. Lawrence College and a post graduate certificate in Studio Process Advancement from the Haliburton School of the Arts. His work is represented by numerous galleries across Ontario and held in private collections in North America, the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
