About Positive Capability

American artist Jason Kimes is best known for his compelling and beautiful figurative outdoor work. This imposing sculpture (254 cm high) of a nude male in a classic yoga pose–arms crossed, one leg raised and resting on the other is made of small squares of corten steel. Over time, the patina of the steel will continue to weather enhancing the rust colour.

He completed a BFA in Sculpture from the University of Southern Mississippi and a MFA in Sculpture from Southern Illinois University in 2005.
Since then he has completed multiple outdoor art commissions and taken part in exhibitions across the US. His work is held in private and corporate collections
