Biography
“It’s important to understand the ‘boundaries’ of the materials you use. I’ve worked with metal for thirty-five years. I know what is possible and I’m hoping to make something others haven't.” Jeff Gillmor
Canadian sculptor Jeff Gillmor has been working with metal for decades. His own company has hand-crafted custom artisan mid-century outdoor cabinetry and other amenities for landscape architects. Gillmor says he was exposed to contemporary art from an early age but didn’t receive any formal training. His inspiration is rooted in architecture, and a desire to explore form in monumental metal sculpture. Gillmor was born in Belleville, Ontario.
He belongs to the Art Bank Collective in Clarksburg, Ontario. His sculptural work can be found in many private collections.
