Meet Autumn. This delightful calf cast in bronze, stands, ears perked as if listening, head turned towards the viewer, her coat a golden red-brown and black patina.Each one of Joe Fafard’s charming animal sculptures has its own distinctive personality and pose. Each one is superbly detailed and realistic. Inscribed with the artist’s signature, date and edition number seven of ten.

Fafard was named an Officer of the Order of Canada in 1981 and received honorary doctorates from the Universities of Regina, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The National Gallery of Canada with the Mackenzie Art Gallery in Regina mounted a retrospective exhibition of the artist’s work that toured to six venues between 2007 and 2009. Fafard's artworks are held in major museum collections including the National Gallery of Canada.
