About Silver Shadow

The clean bold lines of this sculpture by California artist Lori Cozen-Geller is accentuated by the artist’s choice of brushed aluminum. A trapezoid shaped cut out sits outside the rectangle.
Cozen-Geller’s art is minimalist and she plays with the concepts of negative and positive spaces. For the artist, this piece represents life and its infinite possibilities.

“Although my art is an expression of my own personal feelings, these emotions are universal to all of us.” Lori Cozen-Geller

“You can't sit on them or use them; you can only look at them. And you can't stop looking at them. They call attention to - well, not to themselves so much as to what they are saying. They attempt to reach across a verbal-visual divide to tell stories - or, rather, to elaborate on aspects of the human, and natural, condition.” Peter Frank, Art Critic

Lori Cozen Geller lives in California and acquired a BA from the University of Southern California. Her first work took shape within hours of a profound loss in her life--her father's passing.
