About Autumn Leaves
The glorious vivid colours of autumn leaves dance across the canvas in this abstract painting by Noreen Taylor. Short brush strokes in brilliant iridescent orange add movement against a deep red background. Shots of green appear in the layers of colour. Taylor’s work explores colour, form, and pattern. As an artist, she is most interested in the emotion that each painting evokes. In the Autumn, being able to observe several trees at differing stages is something both rare and beautiful. The foliage becomes like several layers of open-weave screens wherein the observers can see both what is immediately in front of him/her as well as the layers of other foliage receding into the distance.” Noreen Taylor
