About Fall Colours: Burning Bush

This contemporary oil painting in fall colors was inspired by nature.

Noreen Taylor has always been drawn to the visual energy that color possesses.
Her own work expresses in lyrical form the natural beauty of the world. She wants viewers to feel the narrative of each piece rather than seeing it, hence her love of abstract form. This compelling painting of a burning bush is expressed in a tangle of short dynamic brush strokes. The palette in orange, purple, and touches of black and green are both warm and vivid.

“As the hours of sunlight and temperature vary, so does the transformation of the Burning Bush. A rather uninteresting green in summer, it can become a vibrant carmine in later fall. If the temperatures are milder and the days longer, it will reflect that light.” Noreen Taylor
