About Dolly
Pat Service has had a life-long love affair with nature. Known as one of Canada’s foremost landscape artists, Service’s work has evolved from classic form to minimalism. The pared down shapes in brilliant colours—bright yellow against a deep blue sky underscore the tree’s unique character. This piece is delightfully playful.“Dolly is a comedian. She acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of B.C. and later studied art at the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland. Service’s work is held in private collections in North America, Britain, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
