About Return

The colours of summer by the lake are celebrated in this pastoral painting by Pat Service. The Canadian artist is known for her landscapes—this minimalist piece illustrates a classic lake and beach view—the deep blues of the cloud-filled sky and lake, green fields, a red cabin, the Canadian Flag, turquoise and yellow canoes and a floating dock. It’s a serene scene many of us return to year after year.

Pat Service acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of B.C. and later studied art at the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland. Service’s work is held in private collections in North America, Britain, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
