About Spring Garden

Pat Service celebrates the fresh, soft colours of a spring garden in this pretty impressionistic landscape. Renowned as one of Canada’s finest landscape artists, this painterly monotype portrays a garden bursting with colour—bright yellow, turquoise, pink, orange and green framed against a soft blue sky.
Monotypes are unique prints that involve hand painting the image on metal, glass or plastic and then manually rubbing or pressing it to reproduce the image on paper.

Pat Service acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of B.C. and later studied art at the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland. Service’s work is held in private collections in North America, Britain, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
