About Aquagraphie V3

This modern black-painted steel outdoor sculpture is by Philippe Pallafray.

Forged from steel, Water Writing’s (titled in French as Aquagraphie) compelling abstract shape is divided into parts like a puzzle. The 14" x 52" steel base can be bolted into concrete or ground. Additional 4 polished steel water elements vary in size and are inserted into the ground around the sculpture.
The graphic pattern of river maps inspired its design. Four reflective steel ‘puddle-like’ shapes are installed at the base of the imposing rectangular 8-foot-high piece. The Quebec artist’s dynamic aesthetic favors geometric and curved forms which he cuts shapes, folds, and welds out of metal.

“My creations embody the duality of nature and industry.” Philippe Pallafray
