Bright mandarin orange draws the viewer’s eye to this playful and dynamic sculpture by Philippe Pallafray. This piece—four rings of varying sizes attached at intriguing angles -- is one of a series of table-top sculptures hand forged from highly polished stainless steel—the interior coated in bright paint. The Quebec based artist’s sculptures are designed to represent the duality of nature and the industrial world. Edition one of ten.“I use certain mobile components so my pieces appear to change (when viewed) from different angles. He is a member of the Sculptors Society of Canada. Born in France, he emigrated to Canada several years ago and currently lives in Ile d’Orléans, Québec. Pallafray's sculptures have been exhibited in Canada and the United States both as part of group and solo exhibitions. They are also part of public and private collections in Canada, France and the United States.
