About Vestiges
This contemporary acrylic painting was rendered by Canadian artist Sasha Rogers.Sasha Rogers’ stunning abstract paintings have been exhibited and are collected both nationally and internationally. Her distinctive use of a ‘horizon line’ that divides the colour field into two realms draws the viewer into the work. The expressive brushstrokes are engaging and emotive. This piece is rendered in a rich palette of turquoise blues, sienna, melon, and purple highlighted by bright white and dark gray. Rogers grew up on the prairies where the infinite view of the ‘big sky’ and its expansive horizon line remain in memory.
“As a child, my most profound visual experiences were exploring the balancing forces of the Earth’s equilibrium in the ever-changing prairie landscape.” Sasha Rogers
