This contemporary wall sculpture is forged from steel and painted red.Sculptor Stefan Duerst hand forges steel to create uniquely lyrical abstract sculptures. Their dynamic form is an expression of the artist’s desire to convey emotion and capture a moment in time.
This elegant piece—a single length of shaped steel in a ribbon-like form appears to be in motion. The raw steel is thickly powder-coated in a glossy, bold red.

Stefan Duerst was born and raised in Munich, Germany. He apprenticed under a Master Blacksmith and worked in both metal design and fabrication. Duerst completed his Masters in Metalwork with distinction. Stefan Duerst has exhibited throughout North America. His sculptures can be found in both private and public collections in Canada and the US.
