Jason Kimes Featured in 2025 Mississippi Invitational
Oeno Gallery is pleased to announce that sculptor Jason Kimes has been selected to participate in the 2025 Mississippi Invitational at the Mississippi Museum of Art. Curated by guest curator TK Smith, this year’s exhibition, titled call home, brings together twelve artists whose work explores themes of connection, longing, and belonging.
Based in Laurel, Mississippi, Kimes is known for large-scale, site-specific sculptures that command attention in public spaces. His work often considers the role of the human figure in the built environment, inviting viewers to engage physically and emotionally from all angles.
The Mississippi Invitational is a biennial juried exhibition celebrating the rich creative talent across the state. Participating artists are also eligible to apply for the prestigious Jane Crater Hiatt Artist Fellowship—supporting new work through a two-year study and travel grant of up to $20,000.
The exhibition will be on view from June 28 – September 7, 2025 at the Mississipi Museum of Art.
Congratulations to Jason on this well-deserved recognition.
