Dmitry Yuzefovich’s realistic nostalgic oil paintings capture a moment in time. Rich in detail, this composition includes a worn, red leather office chair, an old-fashioned green dial-up phone, a set of keys, an umbrella, a brown paper lunch bag and two paper coffee cups. The colour palette is warm—the backdrop is a dilapidated plaster wall, a few numbers and words scattered across it. Memorable.
“My work is all about representation of memory. I frequently represent environments in which I lived in the past or attempt to catch the memory of living in them.” Dmitry Yuzefovich
