Biography

Frances Semple is a Canadian sculptor known for her striking figurative work in bronze and other metals. Semple's work has been shown internationally and she has exhibited in Canada as well as major US cities including Chicago, New York and San Francisco. She began her formal art studies in 1975, focusing on sculpture and mold making at the Ontario College of Art (OCAD University). This included studies in Florence Italy, Edinburgh Scotland, and Vancouver BC, Canada where she completed her BFA at Emily Carr University of Art and Design (ECUAD).
