This deep ocean blue-coloured steel wall sculpture is one of a series of contemporary works created by Marlene Hilton Moore. Inspired by ancient ‘singing’ vessels they are intended to be objects of healing and meditation. The Canadian artist continues to explore the theme of listening with these pieces. “Do we listen? Do we hear?” The intense colour of this shiny powder-coated steel piece draws the viewer’s eye to its perfect and pleasing circular form.
“The inclusiveness of the circle, the openness of the shallow vessel, the beauty of the colour all around the vessels in the meditative moment.” Marlene Hilton Moore
